Recruiter Verification Usage Agreement
RECRUITER VERIFICATION USAGE AGREEMENT
By creating an EthicCred Recruiter account, you (the recruiter or recruiting firm) agree to:
1. Lawful Use
Use EthicCred verifications only for lawful recruitment, screening, employer-of-record, and background-context purposes.
2. Consent Awareness
Acknowledge that verification represents data available to the Platform at the time of verification and does not constitute legal clearance, character certification, or guarantee of employment suitability.
3. Confidentiality
Treat data accessed through verification services as confidential, share it only with authorised parties involved in the hiring decision, and not redistribute, publish, or sell verification data.
4. Anti-Discrimination
Apply EthicCred data in compliance with applicable equal-opportunity and anti-discrimination laws.
5. Candidate Communication
Communicate honestly and promptly with candidates regarding verification outcomes where required by law or by EthicCred policy.
6. Audit Cooperation
Acknowledge that verification requests are logged and may be reviewed if abuse, mass-scraping, or impermissible use is suspected.
7. Prohibited Uses
Do not use the Platform to harass candidates, to penalise candidates for raising disputes, or to retaliate against legitimate complaints.
8. Termination
EthicCred may suspend or terminate recruiter access for violation of this Agreement or for security, fraud, or compliance reasons.
