EthicCred may process certain sensitive information where necessary and legally permitted: government-issued identification, identity verification, financial information, professional licensing, verification-related documents. Sensitive information shall receive additional security protections and access restrictions.
4. Purposes of Processing
We may use information to create and manage accounts, generate Global EthicCred IDs, maintain professional passports, issue certificates and credentials, verify records, process verification requests, authenticate users, detect fraud, prevent abuse, improve platform functionality, provide customer support, generate audit records, enforce platform policies, comply with legal obligations, and protect users and platform security.
5. Professional Passport Records
EthicCred maintains professional records including employment history, internship history, volunteer records, experience certificates, conduct certificates, recommendation letters, educational credentials, and professional achievements. EthicCred does not independently guarantee the accuracy, completeness, legality, or reliability of records submitted by third parties.
6. Information Displayed Through Verification
We may display verification-safe information such as name, photograph, professional stage, employment history, certificates, recommendations, verification status, and achievements. Specific information displayed varies based on permissions, consent, verification settings, applicable laws, and platform policies.
7. Confidential and Restricted Information
Unless expressly authorized by the user, required by law, or necessary for platform operations, EthicCred will not publicly display, disclose, or make generally available confidential, personal, financial, identity-related, authentication-related, contact-related, or other sensitive information that could be used to identify, impersonate, locate, access, or compromise an individual.
8. Consent
Users authorize EthicCred to collect, store, process, display, verify, and manage information necessary to provide platform services. Users may withdraw certain permissions where legally permitted, subject to legitimate business, legal, audit, fraud-prevention, and compliance requirements.
