Institution Authorization & Issuer Agreement
INSTITUTION AUTHORIZATION & ISSUER AGREEMENT
By creating an EthicCred Institution account, the registering representative confirms to EthicCred that:
1. Authority
They are authorised by the institution (university, school, training body, or similar) to bind it to this Agreement and to issue credentials on its behalf.
2. Credential Authority
The institution holds all legal, accreditation, and regulatory authority required to issue the credentials it places on the Platform.
3. Student & Alumni Records
Records issued to students, interns, and alumni will be accurate, complete, and supported by institutional records.
4. Conduct Certificates
Where conduct certificates are issued, they will reflect institutional observations and assessments and will not contain criminal allegations, medical data, or unauthorised personal information.
5. Bulk Issuance
The institution accepts responsibility for the accuracy of records issued in bulk and will reconcile records against authoritative institutional sources.
6. Revocation
The institution will revoke records where issued in error, on plagiarism findings, or where supporting records are subsequently invalidated.
7. Compliance
The institution will comply with the Certificate Issuance Policy, Consent & Verification Policy, Privacy Policy, Dispute Resolution Policy, and applicable educational regulations.
8. Verification
The institution authorises EthicCred to operate verification services that confirm whether a credential was issued by the institution and remains valid.
9. Termination
EthicCred may suspend or terminate institution accounts that violate platform policies.
